Workout Of The Day - 31 July 2011



Its a 'recovery day' today as I've had it hard in the gym onboard yesterday.

WOD
3 rounds of
  • 20 weighted push ups (10kg)
  • 8 front squats (40kg)
  • 20 calf raises (40kg)
 And tomorrow is my first attempt at Muay Thai, inspired by the girlfriend. It's so going to rock!

 Its been a week of great sunshine, great food ('paleo' most of the time), great company and fun! I'd do anything to do it all over again.

Now my hams are extremely tight, and it does feel really good taking a walk.

    Workout Of The Day - 16 July 2011



    Today's WOD at Cross Fit Hub was really a showcase of my 6 weeks' absence from a proper training schedule. I came in last in "Run Randy!", even after the last girl. But am still pretty glad I finished the WOD, and even more glad that I made myself come down for the WOD although I really didn't feel like doing so.

    • Sprint 200m
    • 75 reps of 75lb's snatches
    • Sprint 100m
    Now I'm sore all over, and just awoken from a badly-needed nap. This feels just so great!

    All that DOMS is getting me really sleepy and hungry. Today is a lighter workout so that I can pull through's tomorrow WOD at Cross Fit Hub, which I'm pretty sure, will hurt.

    Down with DOMS today. It feels really great to be so alive, despite a pretty lousy day at work.

    My glutes, hams and traps are really sore. And I feel a lot better.
